Transfer reported data trends updated.

NCJJ has updated the GPS Transfer Trends topic using national and state-reported data.  Nationally, only transfers to adult court by judicial waiver in a juvenile court are known. Judicial waivers have decreased since 2006, but have flattened in the most recent year of available national data, 2014.

In addition to national data, NCJJ also completed a comprehensive sweep of state sentencing, criminal justice and juvenile justice agency websites for reported data concerning transfers to criminal court. Twenty-seven states sustain annual reporting on youth transferred or sometimes youth sentenced in criminal court.  Five report transfer by the type of provision. Several states report trends through a 2016 data year.
