Summary

In Georgia, live data sharing occurs between Juvenile Courts, the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services as well as the Department of Education through collaborative funding agreements and formal and informal inter-agency activity. There are also examples of data sharing and coordination for dual status youth at the local level in Georgia.

Dual status cases are identified at the local level through routine identification of dual status youth at intake. The sharing of case planning information between systems occur in local jurisdictions to coordinate case management for dual status youth. No information was available on court coordination for dual status cases. Local judges can see in real time a wealth of case level information on the youth.
