Summary

In Kansas there is currently no data sharing between the Kansas Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Corrections (DOC) at the state level regarding dual status youth. At the local level, data sharing is informal. Most often judges will hear both dependency and delinquency cases and can call a DCF caseworker into hearing if necessary. Judges have access to the 'full court system' to look up cases in DCF, but this process is not formalized.
